Colorado Day 8/On our way home

We woke up on Saturday morning, grabbed a quick breakfast, checked out of our room and were on the road by 8am for the airport. The kids were tired and even napped a little in the car, which was nice since it was a 3.5 hour drive. We told Nora in the morning about Lucy and thankfully she handled it pretty well. I think it bothered me more than Nora that we couldn't find Lucy. Lucy was Maia's doll and so she had a little extra sentiment. I called the t-shirt store when they opened and the girl working said she had seen a doll in the store and she put it behind the counter, but it wasn't there anymore. I called back before we got on our flight and the owner said the worker in the afternoon set her back out hoping the owner would come back and pick her up.....and now she's gone.

Hedgie was a great distraction from missing Lucy!

Taking the shuttle from the car rental place to the terminal. Note the kids have their stuffed animals in their shirts! ;)

At the airport

Everything went smoothly on our travels home--the drive to the airport, returning our car and taking the shuttle to the terminal, our flight, etc. Our flight home was full and we were separated (Bishop and I sat in the row behind Luke and Nora), but it was ok. Ashton's dad picked us up at the airport and brought us home and we were back home by 5pm. We were able to unpack and we all enjoyed a good nights sleep in our own beds! I've told many people this since we've been back, but flying was the best decision we made! It allowed us to enjoy our time there together and it was SO fun to go to Steamboat! I miss the mountains already!!!
