Colorado Day 7/Steamboat Springs

Friday, our last full day in Colorado! We started the day by watching some ski jumpers--it was impressive and fun to watch....in the summer!! They water down the turf and the skiiers jump just like when they do it on snow.

We walked around town and got a few souvenirs and had lunch downtown. After lunch we went down to the Yampa River to play around and swim--it was a HOT day, but a little tough to "swim" in the river, so we waded in and walked around by the river. We stopped at a park and then went back to check on the dogs! Bishop and Nora are in love with Emily and Raymond's dogs--they absolutely adore them......and all they wanted to do while we were in Steamboat was go check on the dogs! ;)

After we checked on the dogs we drove out to Fish Creek Falls and we hiked to the Falls. The picture on the Coors Light can is a picture of these falls. It was beautiful! It was pretty hot, but it wasn't that long of a hike. We took a few pictures and then headed back to town.

We went for a swim and then went over to see the dogs again! We connected with Raymond and went out to a bike park to watch him bike. He is well known in the area as being one of the best bikers--he's taught other bikers and he's been in ads. It was fun to watch him and hang out a bit. We had a low key night and ordered pizza that we ate by the pool. We packed up so we'd be ready for our travels home in the morning.

Around 9pm I realized we couldn't find Lucy (Nora's baby doll). Nora was asleep already and hadn't missed her or asked for her--but I was concerned that we couldn't find her. Both Luke and I went out separately to re-trace our steps and try to find her. We came back without Lucy.
