Christmas Day 2015

We woke up on Christmas Morning to stockings filled with wonderful gifts!! SANTA CAME!!!!!

Bishop got the ONE thing he wanted--a Kendama. And he got 2 of them! He was so excited!! He also got a Moon in my Room and some treats in his stocking.
Nora got her blue and white markers! Although she may have been the most excited about the skittles! ;) She was pretty excited for her scooter for her baby--it was a great morning!!

She loves the face paint! :)

He got it!!
We had a nice morning at home together as a family and later in the afternoon we went to the Danielson's for Christmas dinner. The kids have so much fun together and it's always a delicious meal! After dinner we played a game and everyone went home with a prize! Bishop was excited about his panda hat! :)
Diana gave them each small gifts--she is so thoughtful!

Reading with Ava!
We are so fortunate to be able to spend Holiday's with both families and it was nice to spend the afternoon/evening with the Froehle's!

Christmas Eve 2015

It was our year to host Christmas Eve this year and it was such a fun and memorable day and night! We went to the 3pm service at Mount Olivet and it was another beautiful service! The kids did so well (Jack took his nap during the service...perfect!) :) The "big" kids all stayed entertained and were very well behaved during the ceremony.

After church we headed back to our house for appetizers and face painting! Papa showed off his skills with some awesome face paint! We had flank steak, potatoes, shrimp, salad and a brussel sprout/sweet potato dish for dinner!! The kids were anxious and very excited to open presents, but made it until after dinner! ;)

Tiger decided to relax in a marshmellow bath, as his work at our house is done for the season!

These 2 have taught me so much! I am so thankful for them in my life!

The kids were all happy with their gifts and we enjoyed a lovely day and night together! It was a little sad to see it come to an end....but the kids were excited to see what Santa would bring them in the morning! It's a magical time with the kids, especially at their ages! They "get" it and enjoy every moment! We are truly blessed!

Bowling with the Hennum's

Another fun tradition it seems we've started is bowling with the Hennum's the week of Christmas! We made it work on the night of the 23rd this year and the kids had so much fun!! The adults do too! Their family is so special and we always love our time together! It's fun to see the kids connect and enjoy being together too! Siena and Maia are so sweet and good to Bishop and Nora!!

The kids lane!

Beautiful Siena--she is SUCH a sweetheart!
We exchanged some small gifts with the kids. Nora got a face painting kit, which was a huge hit and Bishop got an art kit, which he LOVES! He carries it everywhere he goes!

Christmas with the Froehle's at Grandview

We started a new tradition last year with the Froehle's for Christmas--and that is we celebrate the weekend before Christmas at Grandview Lodge! It's fun for everyone.......the kids get to play in the water park, jumpy houses and arcade and Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Jake can relax and enjoy their weekend!

We arrived Friday evening, as Bishop had school and his party! The Elves visited again for a "bedtime tuck in" and Bishop was SOOOOO excited to see them! Nora was a bit more hesitant and felt more comfortable when I held her (just like last year)! The Elves even recognized us! ;)

The kids were so excited for presents and they got to each open one up on Friday night!
Saturday was a fun day of swimming, jumping in the bouncy house, playing in the arcade and hanging out! Some friends of ours happened to be up there and it was so fun for the kids to have other friends to play and swim with!! We were all excited to see the Steffen's! Bishop was a bit reluctant to go down the big slide---but once he did that's all he wanted to do! It's especially fun that he can swim and be on his own a bit more and I don't have to be stressed out the entire time! Nora had a ball going down with mom or dad too!
Dad's and their daughters!

Bishop, Nora, Amelia and Teddy...Logan was still busy swimming
The arcade was a huge hit this year! We spent our fair share of quarters there--but it was fun and the kids were happy!
Logan and Bishop playing ping pong!

On Sunday Morning Santa was at breakfast again. Bishop was excited to see him and sit on his lap.....and he wanted to make sure Santa knew he what he wants for Christmas (a Kendama)! :)

Merry Christmas from the Froehle Family!

Driving the race car in the arcade

A highlight from last year was ice fishing and the horse drawn carriage.....but the lake wasn't frozen yet, so there was no ice fishing this year. Bishop said that was ok since he only caught 2 fish last year! Ha! Grandpa, Grandma and Jake took off on Sunday and we stayed one more night. It ended up being a fun family night. The kids swam and played until they crashed! It's the best way to kick off Christmas celebrations and we're all excited for the week to come!
