Occupations

Bishop's classroom is learning about things in the community (different jobs, stores, etc).

All the kids were asked-where do your parents work. Bishop's response was:

My daddy works in the basement and my mommy works at the airport!

Luke's office is in the basement and I've had to travel for work a few times in the past couple of months! :)

I will try to update the blog with pictures soon--it appears I've maxed out for the year, so I need to buy some space! More updates to come! :)

San Antonio

Like I mentioned in my last post....I'm catching up on my blogging.

A couple weeks ago I had to go to San Antonio for a few days (Wed-Sun) for our National Sales Meeting. I missed Luke and the kids like crazy, but I enjoyed some time to myself and we were treated to a 1/2 day off and a massage on Saturday, so it wasn't ALL bad! Those meetings are always jam packed, very busy, exhausting, etc....but it's all relative because now it's like a "break". Luke also now understands what it's like when he's gone...so it was good for all of us!

I can't remember if I posted about my new position--but I accepted a new position within BD (Manual Microbiology Specialist), so I'll be traveling more now too (not for too long...maybe a night here or there). I really like my new job, so that helps too!

Of course the best part was coming home....

Nora's 9 Months

I'm so far behind on blogging...Nora turned 9 months on 11/11/12. Here are some Nora updates:

  • She weighs 19lb 13oz (69%)
  • She is 28" long (67%)
  • She is pulling herself up, crawling, walking behind a push toy and she's even taken a few steps on her own
  • She LOVES to eat....ANYTHING! She hasn't been the best nurser since being at daycare, so I pump and give her bottles during the day and then nurse her before bedtime.
  • She's been eating more and more table food, along with baby food.
  • She had her 4th ear infection at her 9 month check-up-her Dr recommended she take a daily antibiotic preventatively for a couple of months....however; I haven't heard of anyone else doing that or recommending that, so we're taking her to the ENT this Wed to get a 2nd opionion. I don't necessarily want tubes, but I don't want her to be sick and in pain so much either! It's so hard!
  • She's got 3 teeth on the bottom and 4 coming in on top. The ones coming in on the top look a little scraggly right now, so hopefully they straighten out when they are fully in! :)
  • She's wearing size 12 month clothes
  • Size 3 diapers
  • She LOVES her bath--she'll splash and splash and splash....and laugh and laugh and laugh
  • She's a very happy girl! She smiles and laughs all the time!
  • She adores her big brother and she wants to be doing whatever he's doing (for the most part). It's fun to see them play together more now
  • She hasn't been the most consistent sleeper, but I'm sure that's partly due to the ear infections, teething and of course nursing (as I learned from Bishop)! Some nights are better than others--on a good night she'll go 8-10 hours and on a bad night she's up 2 times (11pm and 3am). I know it could be worse!
Nora you are such a sweetheart and you add so much love to our family! You don't like to have to wait to eat :) I'm so excited for you to start walking, as it'll open up even more adventures for you (and all of us)! I love you more than you will ever know!

Thanksgiving 2012

We started our Thanksgiving weekend out on Wednesday in Cold Spring. We went to St John's and toured this neat "twig house". Some students made it and it was awesome! Bishop ran around in it and had a blast! We then toured St John's a bit and then went to Rich and Eileen's to start our marathon Thanksgiving weekend!

Starting him young!

He was very excited to read books while sitting on the piano bench!

Grandpa and Grandma!!
On Friday we traveled to Owatonna for our 2nd Thanksgiving celebration (that took place on Saturday)! It was a lot of fun being able to spend two nights at each Grandparents....but it was a bit exhausting for mom and dad! :)

Learning to sit in the chair

On Saturday morning we visited Great Grandpa Arnie and Great Grandma Marlys. The kids got their Christmas gifts, so they had fun playing with those!

I'll try to add more pictures when I have time...I'm just trying to get caught up for now! :)

Two Steps Forward

I know I'm behind on blogging.....I need to post a 9 Month update for Nora, but I wanted to make sure I documented something very exciting that happened today!

Nora took 2 steps at daycare!! I was holding one of her hands to help her walk and I let go....and kept going (thinking she would sit down) and she took two steps towards me! One of her teachers even witnessed it! She was pretty excited!

In other exciting news....Bishop hasn't had an accident in over a week! He's been going poopy on the potty and he's even been staying dry at night (last night he slept for 12 hrs and was completely dry when he woke up)!

I'll try to catch up on my other blogs soon--I don't want to get too far behind with Thanksgiving coming!

Festivus with the kids

We had a relatively uneventful weekend. The main events consisted of mastitis for me (the worst case I've had) and a tough weekend for Nora. She ended up with pink eye, an ear infection and a possible sinus infection (hard to tell on that one....but she had snot coming out of everywhere, so it was possible)! So, from that standpoint, it wasn't the "most fun" weekend, but we all survived!

Sunday night the McGovern's were in town and we got together with the "goof troop" (as Sara refers to us) at the Joneses! It was the unofficial Fesitvus with the kids! It was an absolute blast! We used to get together with this group ALL THE TIME.....and with all the kids and friends moving away we don't see everyone as often, but being together last night made me miss everyone A LOT! Everyone is so laid back and non-judging, it's such an enjoyable time! Bishop had a fun time with the older kids (he held on to one of Ben's trucks and wouldn't let it go--that was hard on Ben) and Nora just crawled around and tried to get in on as much action as she could! :)

Here are a couple pictures of the 10 Festivus Kids! :)

Bishop found these glasses and put them on! I couldn't help but laugh!

Shelly's Birthday

Sunday was Shelly's birthday so we hosted a little birthday get together for her! The day went really well and all the kids played well together!

We were accepted as new members at Mount Olivet Church at the 9am service on Sunday and then came home to celebrate with Shelly and my family!

This first picture was taken Saturday--it's Bishop and his new friend, Lincoln driving the Jeep. Bishop helped with wood delivery in the morning and had an absolute blast!

Here's some exciting news....Nora is walking behind things now! Nana brought this stroller up for her to push and she's walking all over the place. She's not even 9 months old yet! She loves her freedom and does really well!

Ooooo....this is exciting!

Bishop likes to pick Nora up and carry her around--and she thinks it's hilarious!! There was one minor incident where she fell forward and hit her head on the hardwood floor, so we're trying to limit the "carrying" for now!
I love being together with my family! Like I said, the kids played together so well and had so much fun together! Happy birthday again, Shelly!

Happy Birthday Auntie Shelly!

Happy Birthday to the absolute best sister and Auntie anyone could ever ask for! Shelly, you one of the most self-less people I know...and you have taught me so much! Thank you for ALWAYS being there for me....to talk to, listen to and to love me unconditionally! You are truly amazing! Bishop and Nora are so lucky to have you as their aunt, thanks for everything.....they both light up when they see you and they love you so much!

It was so fun celebrating YOU today! I just realized I didn't get a picture of you with Nora today--sorry about that!

We LOVE you as big as the sky!

Happy Halloween 2012

What a fun Halloween for the Froehle's! Both kids were encouraged to wear black and orange to school on Halloween, so we got a picture of the kids before school! Bishop really gets into saying CHEESE!

Bishop's class had a Halloween party and Bishop was SO excited for the party! On Tuesday night he kept talking about going back to school and Wednesday morning he wanted to go to school right away. I was able to join in on their party for a little bit and it was so fun! They made a couple of crafts and exchanged candy. They had all made their own bags leading up to their party and then they all brought candy to share--they each handed out their candy to their friends. Then they took a class picture. What a riot that was--I was so impressed with his class and his friends--and even more so with his teachers! There were 20 2-3 year olds who would listen and follow instructions, it was pretty neat! And, they all looked at the camera and said "CHEEEEEEEEEESE" for quite a few minutes. I may have to hire them to come when I'm trying to take pictures of Bishop and Nora! Bishop was excited I was there and when I left he yelled across the room I LOVE YOU MOMMY!! In the mornings when I drop him off I'm lucky to get him to look up from playing and say good-bye, so that made my day!

While I was there I visited Nora in her class. She was all smiles! She got to feel pumpkin guts at school and she loved it! She wanted to eat them! :)

Trick or Treating was a lot of fun! The weather was pretty good--it was cool, but not too cold. We took both kids out for awhile and set out a bowl for those who came to our house (we were just on our block, so we had our eye on the house the whole time). Our first stop was at Casey's house. Bishop was so excited--he was more interested in going into people's houses at first and he kept wanting to play in Casey's house.

He said Trick or Treat a couple of times...and sometimes the first and only thing he said was "thank you" (before even getting candy). Sometimes he would just say "Halloween"! It was a ton of fun and he enjoyed it! We met up with Danny and his parents for awhile too, and the boys had fun!

Nora was able to go to a few houses before going to bed and she enjoyed being out and about!

It was such a fun Holiday and I'm so glad the kids had a great time! Happy Halloween!!!!
