First day of First Grade!

And he's off to 1st grade!! The first day of first grade went well! Bishop was VERY excited and Nora was equally as excited! Next year will be a big first day for her!

We all dropped Nora off at school and then Bishop got a pastry from Turtle Bread before heading into school. Luke and I brought him to his classroom on the first day......and while he was ready and excited he was a little hesitant for us to leave. Needless to say he had the BEST first day! He came home and was so chatty and excited he couldn't fall asleep! He made a couple comments....."First grade is SO much better than Kindergarten! And, I have THE BEST teacher!" I am so thankful he had such a positive experience on his first day and I'm excited to see where the year takes him!

Night Star came for a picture! ;)

One without the neighbors cat!

Nora wanted one with Night Star too! :)

Lots of changes for Nora as a lot of her friends moved on to Kindergarten!

The Last days of Summer

The reunion ended just in time for us to get back for the Icecream social on Wednesday evening and to meet Bishop's teacher--Mrs. Lyga-Jones! It was great meeting her and seeing his new classroom.....they even have a tarantula as a pet! Bishop, Cal and Charlie reunited with some icecream and then we took off as it had been a long day of traveling!

Bishop didn't have Minneapolis Kids on Thursday or Friday--so we met Cal, Avery and their mom for lunch at Tin Fish on Thursday and we visited my mom on Friday as she had surgery on her eyes!
Lunch at TinFish before we met Cal!

Looking great for just having eye surgery!!

Friday night we had dinner at the Hennum's, which is always a fun time!

And our last summer weekend night was spent with Cal and Charlie and their families at our house! The kids had so much fun together.....and the parents did too! I am so thankful that Bishop found 2 wonderful friends that have such wonderful families! :)

They love taking their shirts off together!

The night concluded with a dance party in our living room!
Nora had Riley's birthday party over the weekend, which was fun! It was at her house and although Nora only knew Riley there, she still had fun!

Proud of all his stickers!!

Holy Cow--is the summer really over already?!?! We had a jam packed, super fun summer....with a couple bumps along the way (pneumonia for Bishop and surgery for Nora), but we were blessed with many fun experiences and memories that will last a lifetime!

Froehle Family Reunion

The 2016 Froehle Family Reunion was held in Rhinelander, WI this year at Wild Acres Resort. We arrived on Saturday evening and stayed until Wednesday morning. It was such a great time and the kids had a blast with Luke's cousins kids!

Saturday night we had pizza in Art and Rosemary's cabin and then the kids went swimming!

Sunday morning we went for a little bike ride with Grandpa!

On our bike ride we stopped by the stables and visited the Guinness Book of World's Records biggest horse--Odin!

Saturday was cool and rainy and Sunday was a little more of the same. After our bike ride on Sunday we went into town for some groceries and we had lunch with Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Jake!

Bishop and Nora with the Hodawg!

It cleared up in the afternoon on Sunday and the guys were able to hold their traditional croquet game! Sunday night we had a family BBQ where everyone grilled their own meat and brought a side to pass. We also celebrated Pat's upcoming 80th birthday....which the kids LOVED (they love birthdays)!

Monday and Tuesday the weather was much nicer--the kids went fishing, swimming and played on the beach! There was a lot of running around and playing together.....and the kids are old enough now that I wasn't worried the entire weekend of where they were or what they were doing!

Monday night we celebrated with a family dinner at the restaurant on site. We also had a family picture taken!

Tuesday brought a cribbage tournament, which was a ton of fun! It was another nice day for the kids to play outside and we ended up renting a pontoon for a few hours so we got out on a boat ride!

Tuesday night we had another BBQ--this time the resort grilled our meat for us and provided sides! After dinner some of the kids took a wagon ride, which they loved! It was another fun filled day and we weren't ready for the reunion to be over!!
