Sunday was another fun day! It started out a little cool....as our power went out around 1:30 am and wasn't expected to come back on until 10:30am! We got up, went to church and went out for breakfast.
We all went for a walk around the lake, which proved to take much longer, as Bishop INSISTED on walking the majority of the way. He's pretty fast, when he's moving, but he likes to make a lot of stops along the way! :)
We played outside a bit in the afternoon and then went to have our first picnic as a family! We went to Minnehaha Falls and ate at SeSalt. Bishop kept talking about having a picnic and loved the idea. Considering it was supposed to rain most of the day, it was a decent day and we even saw the sun during our picnic!
It was such a nice weekend, just the four of us! I loved every minute of it!
There was a musician there, playing his guitar and singing (he rode his bike there....pulling all his gear on a trailer--pretty cool) and this little girl started dancing....so Bishop joined right in!

Nora 12 weeks old
My Nora is 12 weeks old already! And tomorrow she'll officially be 3 months old! She seems to be getting so much bigger and older every day!
Nora is still sleeping great-she usually eats between 8-9pm and has been sleeping until 5am recently! She'll eat at 5 and sleep again until 8 or when Bishop wakes her! :)
She is wearing 6 month clothes--she just started wearing the bigger clothes within the past week, but they fit perfectly!
She's also transitioned into size 2 diapers!
She is such a HAPPY SMILEY baby! She smiles ALL the time. She has become more interactive and smiles at most people! She is grasping more things with her hands and enjoys laying on her playmat to kick and watch her toys!
We were working with Nora to look to her left, as her head was getting a little flat since she was always looking to her right. We've been very sensitive to this, as we didn't want her to end up with Torticollis like Bishop did! Well, she picked it up pretty quickly and now it appears she's only looking to her left!! Oh well, at least she's evening things out! :)
We had a little home made photo shoot with Nora on Saturday! Again, I don't know why these are blurry, there must be something wrong with our camera....regardless, her smile still shows! :)
She is the sweetest, most content baby girl! Bishop continues to adore her--it's obvious that none of us can get enough of this baby girl! :)

Mother's Day 2012
We celebrated Mother's Day last Saturday, since Luke will be fishing this weekend! It was a wonderful day and I loved every minute of it! It was an untraditional day for us, but perfect in every way! We started the day with donuts and a Latte (my favorites)! :) We went to the mall (very unlike us) to get Bishop a new pair of shoes and while we were there Bishop and Luke went on a train ride! Nora and I watched as they rode the train around the mall.....and as we were waving to Bishop and calling his name I heard a father next to me say hi to his daughter, Nora. We had a conversation that went something like this:
Me: Is your daughter's name Nora?
Him: Yes
Me: Oh, that's her name (pointing at Nora).
Him: Oh, neat--is your son's name, Bishop?
Me: Yes!
Him: That's my last name.
Me: Cool-that was my maiden name
Both of us: oh small world, blah blah blah
It took me awhile to figure it out.....but Bishop was riding the train with his new friend, Nora Bishop! Yes, her name is Nora Bishop!! Crazy!
After that we went to lunch at PFChang's and went home. Bishop took a nap, while Nora, Luke and I watched a movie...perfect thing to do on a rainy day! I can't remember the last time I watched a movie during the day--and it was a good one We Bought A Zoo! That night we stayed in and made a frozen pizza--as funny as these events sound (at least to me, since it's not our typical weekend), it was perfect! The kids (with a lot of help from Luke) got me a beautiful ring...I absolutely LOVE it and I told Luke he can go fishing on Mother's day every year from now on!!!! :)
Here are some pictures of me with two of my loves! I am so bummed, as they're all blurry--but I have to post them anyway!

The Knutson's
We had a busy day on Saturday! Nora and I had a bridal shower (in Burnsville) for one of my relatives. Kaylin is getting married on May 19th and it was fun to shower her with gifts and advice! :)
Bishop and daddy got to go to the Children's museum, while we were at the shower and I know they both had a great time!
That night we all went back to Burnsville (not far at all from where I was at the shower) to The Knutson's to celebrate Melissa's birthday! There were 10 (or close to it) kids there under the age of 3 and only ONE of them was a girl...Nora! :) Needless to say the boys had a blast!
Bishop and Bennett had a "poop-off"! They both sat on the toilet and tried to poop...it was hilarious! When one would get off, the other would get on to try to poop! Peer pressure is a positive thing in this situation! :)
I tried to get a good picture of some of the boys--these were the best I got! :) I missed Grant in these pictures...sorry Grant!
It was such a fun night. Thanks, Knutson's!

Nora's first day at school
Today was Nora's first day at Kindercare. It felt like my first day back to work, since I had to drop her off and leave her for the first time. Luke had to leave early this morning (before either of the kids were awake), but all went as well as could be expected. Nora was smiley before I even left the room--she was having fun playing with some new toys!
I did shed some tears as I drove away, but I was fine and had a couple of appointments to keep me busy, so that really helped. I was able to visit Nora and nurse her over my lunch hour and when I got there she had JUST started crying because she was hungry. I got a huge smile though and that MADE my day! :) She's such as sweetheart!
Bishop was able to visit her (because he was being a good listener) and she smiled when she saw him too!
They took a bunch of pictures of her on her first day and she was all smiles for those pictures too! I wish I had digital copies of the pictures to share, but I don't.
All in all, the day went as well as could be expected for her first day! I am happy with her class and her teachers and I think she is too! :)

Back to Work
I go back to work tomorrow--and I'm sad as I think about it! It's been a wonderful 11 weeks off...I have honestly loved every minute of it! Of course, it went way too fast, but Nora has been so wonderful to spend time with and I will definitely miss our snuggles, naps and time together!! I know I've said this before, but she's such a content, happy girl and I love her so much!
My mom will be watching Nora on Mondays and Tuesdays, so that will help me with the transition back to work. I'm really not looking forward to Wednesday when I have to drop her off, that will feel like my first day back!
