And...we're back!

Sorry for the long delay in posts!!

The past two weeks were fun! St Patrick's Day is always a special day for our family since Grandma Froehle is 100% Irish-Luke is 50% and Bishop is 25%. Luke was sick, so we didn't celebrate in true St Patrick's day fashion...but Bishop got to celebrate with a cupcake that he LOVED!

Luke and I went to Colorado to do some skiing last weekend with two of our friends (and neighbors), Paul and Jadee Kahlert. We had an awesome weekend at Breckenridge and it was fun to get away! The weather was nice, although it got to be pretty windy at the top of the mountain...but it made for perfect skiing conditions and the temps were in the 40's, so that helped! I hadn't skiied in a couple years, but was able to keep up with Luke and Paul and I managed to get down some double blacks and some VERY steep terrain! I LOVED it and I absolutely LOVE the mountains!

We got home on Monday afternoon and picked Bishop up from daycare. He split his time with the grandparents while we were gone. Thanks Grandpa, Grandma, Papa and Nana--we love you and appreciate all your help! BIshop had fun, but was sick when we picked him up. I was able to spend all day Tues, Wed and 1/2 of Thursday with him while he recovered from the flu. Turns out Nana and I also caught the flu (Influenza A to be exact). Not a fun way to spend my last weekend at home before going back to work...but we had lots of snuggles!

Thursday Bishop and I went to visit a new friend, Paxton! My good friend, Beth had a baby boy and he is so beautiful! He slept the entire time we were there (which was good looking back since I found out the next day I have the flu). Bishop had lots of fun playing with their dog, Breezy--he LOVES dogs, which concerns me just a little! :)

I am back to work today!! After 4 months off, I am officially "employed" again! I am excited to start my new job and know I have a lot of work (and time away) ahead of me!

Happy St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone!!!

Luke is 50% Irish and Bishop is 25% Irish---I wore green today to help my family celebrate!! I just love St Patrick's day, even though I didn't "celebrate" today! I think I'll have plenty of time to celebrate this weekend!

I hope you all enjoyed the day!!

Shelly's Shower

Shelly had another Baby Shower on Saturday with some of her friends from college. It was an absolutely beautiful shower--the hostess did a phenomenal job and she left NO details left out. I am hosting a family shower after Baby Bormann is born and I told Shelly she better have pretty low expectations compared to the shower on Saturday. It was a ton of fun and her friends made her feel pretty special!

Here are a couple pictures from the shower.

Baby shower

Happy Baby Shower Shelly and Baby Bormann!!! We LOVE you SO SO much!

My sister, Shelly, is pregnant and is due in less than 4 weeks!! I can't describe how excited I am to be an Auntie!!! She's having a girl and she looks fantastic!! She is literally glowing!

This past weekend some of Shelly's college friends hosted a shower for her! She got so many nice (pink) things for Baby Bormann. Baby Bormann is one lucky girl already--Shelly and Ryan will be fantastic parents and she has so many family and friends who love her already!!

Bishop sitting at his table reading his book and learning more words
Bishop has started saying more words lately, which is a lot of fun. He said "Auntie" the other day before Auntie Shelly came over...he even said it for her, which was perfect!! He also "moos" when you point to a cow or ask him what the cow says.

Saturday night Luke and I went out for Michelle's 30th birthday party! I wish I had some good pictures, but everyone else must have been taking them because there were only 2 on my camera and they weren't "good" ones! :) Bishop got to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma Froehle while we went out, which was fun for everyone!

Bishop cut a new tooth on Saturday! It's one of his bottom teeth so he now has 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. I think there may be more coming, as he's been a little fussy and has some other signs of teething.....I hope they come in quickly for everyone's sake!

Walking and Talking Boy

Bishop has really taken off with his walking (literally)!! It is so much fun to watch him!

The past week he went from taking a few steps to walking out of "school" last night all by himself (I held his hand when we got outside, but otherwise he was all on his own)! He's really enjoying it and he's moved on from the "mummy" stage, where he holds his arms out in front of him to looking like a little boy now.

He has also started saying more words. His favorites are Dada, Uh-oh, nana and up, while he continues to say mama (although not has often as I'd like) :). He started saying "moo" and he said Auntie last night for the first time before Auntie came to visit! It was the best and he even said it for Auntie Shelly!

He is completely done with bottles and we're down to 1 nap a day! I definitely don't have a baby on my hands anymore! We are also completely done nursing. It was a LOT harder on me than it was on him!

Bishop and I are home together today, due to some car problems. We are stranded at home, forced to play together--it doesn't get much better than this (except for the car problems, but someone else will take care of those)! :)

What a fun stage! Bishop is so proud and happy to be walking and it's exciting to hear him talk and mimic us more. The other night Luke would crank his head and look up at the ceiling and Bishop would copy him....he basically does anything Luke does. There was a time not too long ago where he would only want to come to me, but lately he's preferring Luke. When we stopped the nighttime nursing, Luke started a new routine with him and he really enjoys that!
