Horseback riding--it was the first time the kids were on their own horses!
An attempted hike
A relaxing afternoon in town and at our cabin
We started the day early horseback riding that started at 8am. We all mounted our horses.....and took off for a 2 hour ride. It was the first time the kids had been on their own horses and both of them asked to get off about every 10 steps. Bishop became more comfortable the 2nd half, but Nora wasn't quite sure about it. They both did awesome and finished the ride! Bishop became quite comfortable pulling on the reins and guiding his horse!
Nora rode Custer right behind our guide, Sam. Bishop rode Chong, I was on Princess Buttercup (who was such a sweet horse) and Luke rode Sonny. Our guide was amazing--she did such a great job with the kids. I think we were all a little nervous and anxious, especially after Bishop and I didn't have the best experience last year. Funny thing is--Sam knew about our experience last year (even though it was at their sister stable), as it was her boyfriend who was the guide.

We stopped at winery in town that has a kids play area and games. Bishop found Stratego, one of his new favorite games so we pulled that out and he taught me how to play, which was fun!

It was nice to have a quieter afternoon and evening. We went swimming (as we did every day on our trip) and rested up for the hike the next day!
