Tuesday (the 16th) night we walked (Bishop biked) to Linden Hills, picked up sandwiches at Clancey's, walked to Lake Harriet and had a picnic! It was a pretty nice October evening, so we wanted to take advantage of it! We had never had sandwiches from Clancey's, but we had heard they were delicious....and they were! We'll definitely be doing that again!

| Nora on the walk |
Bishop has become very good and comfortable on his bike! He is almost always in control and he does really well! He's also listening better--and when I ask him to stop he usually does! I talked to one of our neighbors who mentioned that her 3 year old was riding a bike with pedals without training wheels (after riding a balance bike)!!! That's Bishop next summer! He does seem like he would be ready-it's just crazy for me to think!
Luke left for a fishing trip on Wednesday (the 17th) and I took this picture before he left. We've sure missed him, but the kids have done exceptionally well considering!
Wednesday and Thursday nights I picked the kids up from daycare, we ate dinner and then went for a short walk before bedtime (Nora usually is SO tired and taking an evening nap actually helps her sleep better, so taking a walk is the easiest way to get her to nap when I'm one on two). :) I asked Bishop if he wanted to go for a walk and I explained that he would have to ride in the stroller the entire time...he hardly EVER rides in the stroller, because he's biking. He agreed to ride in the stroller and was excited to go for a walk. I then said " Good, I'd like to get some fresh air". A few minutes later Bishop asked me "Mommy, will you share?" I responded with "Share what? We're going for a walk." He replied: "the fresh air". I absolutely love how their little minds work-he thought I was going to buy some fresh air and he wanted to make sure he got in on some of it! :)
One of the nights when I was putting Nora down to bed, I put a movie on for Bishop to watch. I came downstairs after putting Nora down and Bishop was laying on the couch, watching his movie....and he had built this wall! I know one piece is out of place, but I was pretty impressed that he did it all on his own--he would jump over the wall and he thought that was pretty neat. I love this stage he's in--he loves to build garages, tents, roofs and ramps for his cars!
