A weekend at Nana and Papa's

Since Luke was fishing, I took the kids down to my parents on Friday night for the weekend. My parents were in Branson for the week, on vacation, and they were expected to get home at 8:30 Friday night. My plan was to have the kids in bed before my parents got home.....neither of the kids were sleeping! Ahhhhh!! I was SO happy to see my parents and so were the kids! It was a really fun weekend with them.

Bishop and Papa raked leaves! They went shopping Saturday morning for a rake for Bishop. They went to a couple of stores and couldn't find one his size, so my dad bought one with a smaller "rake" and cut the handle, it was perfect! Bishop LOVED raking--he could have done it all day. Those two have so much fun together! When they were done raking, Bishop dug a hole in my parents yard--all he wanted to do was go outside and dig a hole. He said there was a lion in the hole, so they had to keep digging to find it!

Taking a break!

Bagging the leaves
While they were doing that Nana, Nora and I picked up some groceries and visited my Grandparents. Nora loved seeing them and it made me so happy to see them so happy together!  Although my grandma's memory is fading--I reminded her that Nora was named after her mother--and a few minutes later she commented on how proud that would have made her mother and how happy she would be to know that! It made me so happy to know my grandma understood the significance of her name!

Walking with Nana! Oh my!

On Sunday we all went over to visit my grandparents. I asked Bishop ahead of time if he would please sit on their laps and smile nicely for a picture. He was such a honey! He gave them both big hugs, sat on their laps, smiled for pictures and enjoyed it! Whenever he talks about his great grandparents he says..."they're my friends". It made me so happy to see them together!  Thanks so much for your help, mom and dad! It was such a fun weekend!
