We had a very fun Superbowl weekend! Friday was a nice, family night "in" with no plans!
Saturday morning brought swimming lessons and then I took the kids down to Owatonna to visit my Grandparents while Luke rode in the Stuporbowl bike ride.
My grandparents aren't doing that great--they're both ok--but I just want to spend as much time with them as I can while they're still here. And I really want my kids to as well.
We visited my Gpa first--he's having a harder time right now than my Grandma. He's very weak and he lost a lot of strength after his last hospital visit.
Next we visited my Grandma. It was her 87th birthday on Tuesday so Shelly and I made her a Shutterfly book and gave it to her from our families for her birthday. She LOVES looking at pictures and it really helps that she can read who's who in the pictures!
After our visits we went to the library, picked out a few books--Bishop even asked the librarian if she could help him find some books on Foxes! :)

Meanwhile, Luke was biking around Mpls/St. Paul--checking off destinations off his manifesto! He wiped out twice before they even got registered for the ride, so he was a little skeptical, but after that he had a great ride and thankfully it wasn't -20 below!
Sunday morning brought church, brunch and a quick visit to the Loppet! They changed the course/finish line this year, so it was fun to check it out. The finish line was at the North end of Lake Calhoun this year--right in the parking lot across from Whole Foods/Caribou, etc. There were a bunch of sculptures that the kids thought were pretty neat!

We went home and got ready for the Superbowl! We had the Moore's and the Kahlert's over to watch the game......and cheer on Eric Decker! Luke, Dan and Paul all went to Rocori (where Eric went) and Dan's family is very close to Eric's, so it was fun to have a team to cheer for. Unfortunately there wasn't much to cheer about for the Bronco's--at least we had these 5 kiddos to keep us smiling! :)
