On Tuesday we set out to go horse back riding. We chose a new stable....Glacier Creek Stables, which is by Sprague Lake. Bishop and I rode a double and our horse was Gus. Nora and Luke rode together on Jerry. Gus kept eating and when I would pull on the reins he would flip the reins, so I would lose control. This continued to happen and we stopped a few times and the lead cowboy took our rope so we were connected and Gus continued to do this. I got scared, which scared Bishop and so we ended up getting off and heading back to hang out while Luke and Nora continued on their ride. It was a bummer, but I just wasn't comfortable. While we were on our short ride Bishop saw a deer sitting in the meadow, which was pretty cool. Bishop and I hiked around Sprague Lake and hung out until Luke and Nora got back. The stables offered for Bishop to ride a pony around the stables, but he wasn't too excited about that (and I don't blame him).

Since Bishop's morning wasn't as exciting (err...or maybe it was more exciting) than we had hoped, w stopped at the Rock Shop on our way back into town and let the kids pick out some rocks.....and some rock candy! We ended up at the Rock Shop a couple times on this trip!
We stopped at the park to play.......
And we had lunch at Claire's again!

Luke tasted some Whiskey.....he was working on vacation! :)
Bishop REALLY wanted a slingshot--and he had a great time playing with it by the river!

Thanks to social media (Instagram and FB) we realized some friends were going to be touring through CO so we touched base and they stopped by our place one afternoon. It had been a cool/rainy few days, so it was fun to have a distraction and some friends to connect with for a few hours. Jaxon and Bishop used to go to daycare today and Jaxon's mom worked at the daycare. We hadn't ever really hung out, but it was a great time and fun for everyone to connect!

We kept hearing that the Rooftop Rodeo was in town this week and that we should check it out! On Tuesday night we did just that. It was a RAINY night, but we were under the grandstands so we were completely dry. We had never been to a rodeo before and it was quite entertaining! We all enjoyed it and Bishop kept asking for the bulls! :) The bull riding is always the last event....so we stuck it out until the end! I think our favorite event was the mutton bustin', where kids (5 year olds) ride sheep and hang on as long as they can! It was pretty cute and entertaining!

| Having so much fun! |
At this point in the trip we were missing the sun and warm weather. We were still able to get out and enjoy the mountains, but we were really hoping to see the sun again! With no naps, some of the afternoons/early evenings got to be a little long/challenging, especially being a little more cooped up in our cabin due to the rain. The rodeo was a huge hit and helped get us out to do something (dry) at night!
