Coloardo-Roosevelt National Forest-Blue Lake

We weren't quite sure what to do about the sleeping arrangements on the trip. We brought the pack and play, but it never got used! Bishop can easily climb out of the pack and play. We brought my sleeping pad/mat and we used that for Bishop. However, the kid moves so much in his sleep that he hardly slept ON the mat. One night I found him sleeping under the chair! Nora slept in her carseat for the week, as it helped with her cold/ear infection.

Tuesday Morning we set out to Roosevelt National Forest for some hiking. It was about an hour drive, but we got an early start, thanks to our kids waking up so early! :)

Roosevelt National Forest is higher up, so it was a harder hike with the elevation. We had done this hike last year. It is a beautiful hike, but not an easy one! We hiked up to Blue Lake, where it was very windy and cool, so we didn't stay long!

Bishop did awesome on this hike! He was such a trooper and he didn't want to ride!

Stopping to smell the flowers!

We made it to Blue Lake! I fed Nora, we had a quick bite to eat, took a picture and we were off to lower grounds, to get out of the cool wind!

On our drive to the park, there is a Gallery, named after Bishop!

We celebrated our tough hike at Mary's Lodge with a drink and some appetizers. While we were there it rained and hailed--we were really glad to be done with our hike and relaxing!

Our content, happy girl!
