We packed the car and headed to CALARADO on Friday, June 29th. We have been talking about this trip and whenever we'd ask Bishop where we were going he'd yell CALARADO!! It was the cutest! (I will post the trip in sections).
We drove to Kearney, NE on Friday, which was about a 8-9 hour drive. The kids did awesome!! Looking back we probably should have kept going, but we had a reservation at a Holiday Inn with a neat waterpark, so it worked out great to stop there.
This picture was taken at breakfast on Saturday morning! Bishop just can't get enough of "baby"!
The waterpark was really neat. There was a kids area, that Bishop could go on by himself--it was easy enough for him to climb the stairs and go down the slide himself!

This is a picture of the kids area. There were 2 main slides (one tunnel) and play areas.

The Wednesday before we left I took Nora to the Dr to find out she had her first ear infection! The girl hardly ever poops and the poor thing had a blowout almost everyday on vacation (and wasn't feeling 100%). I'm sure the elevation changes didn't help her ears either...but she was still her smiley self!
There were 2 big slides, that were not supposed to be for kids (at all). Being we had been up to GrandView not long ago, Luke figured it would be safe and fun for Bishop to go down the big slides with him. The green one, on the left, had a bunch of turns and was really fun. The yellow one was a tunnel....you had to lay down on your back to go down and there was only 1 turn, so it went REALLY fast!! Of course Bishop wanted to go down that slide too....and Luke took him. Needless to say, they only went down it once! They got shot out of it at the end like a cannon and it took them a few seconds to come up for air!

Napping before taking off for Estes Park!
I'm so glad we stopped in Kearney to get some swimming in! It helped break up the trip and we had about 6 hours left to go to get to Estes Park!
