Memorial Day Weekend

Here are some pictures from Memorial Day Weekend! We went to the North shore and did some hiking! Bishop was great the entire trip! He loved hiking, swimming, playing--he was happy doing WHATEVER we were doing! Such a trooper!

"NO, Don't!"

We had a wonderful weekend!!

We had plans to go to Eastern WI to do some kayaking and rafting, but being that Luke had strep throat, we ended up staying home. Thankfully, Luke started feeling better on Friday, so we were able to enjoy the weekend and get some things done!

Saturday we ran some errands and Bishop enjoyed every stop we made--he loves to explore and take in all the action, no matter where we are! We started at Peter's Billards and bought new barstools--thankfully it wasn't too busy in the store, so Bishop could check some stuff out! Next we went to REI, along with the rest of the world...it was SO busy, but we got some good deals and we bought a new family tent, now we just need to use it! Bishop was having so much fun running into the tent....that he didn't step up to get in the tent and he fell on his face...his teeth cut his lip and he was bleeding....thankfully, it was short lived and he was right back at it! The woman who was helping us was so nice and she wanted to know if we wanted to write up an accident report--I knew Bishop would bounce back quickly, so I didn't think it was necessary, but I appreciated the offer!

Sunday we went to the Children's Museum and Bishop had an absolute blast! His favorite things to do were to dance on stage with the music, go down the slides and play with the water!! It was our first time at the Children's museum and it was great! A perfect place to spend a rainy day!

For some reason, I can't post pictures right now--I'll try back again later.

Bishop has really started talking a lot more lately--he will repeat most things you say, especially if you ask him to. The phrase he said nonstop this past weekend was "No, Don't!" I think he may be hearing that a lot lately (the kid is very busy and he loves to explore EVERYWHERE)....however, I learned at school this morning that they teach the kids to tell other kids "No, I don't like that" when someone does something they don't like (instead of pushing back, etc)....so I'm hoping that's what he's repeating!! We've been saying a lot of "yes, please" lately, just in case! :)

Crazy, busy week

Wow-I'm sorry I've been slacking on the blogging--a lot has happened since Mother's Day!

First of all, my manger came into town to work with me last week and it went really well. I really like my manager and so far I'm loving my job!

Unfortunately, Bishop got sick while I was working with my manager...he got a HIGH fever and THANKFULLY Papa (my dad) was able to come up, last minute and pick him up from daycare until I could get home to be with him. This was last Thursday--his fever kept going up and up and we finally took him in that night. He had a fever of 104.7 and he was very lethargic. We were fortunate to be able to get into Bishop's Dr (whom we love) at 5:30-we were his last patient of the day. It was so nice that we could get in and we didn't have to go to Urgent care or the ER. His Dr couldn't determine that anything was wrong, so he drew some blood and his WBC was normal...he took an x-ray and that was normal too--he had a virus! His temp started coming down after that and he's been better and better everyday since then.

We were planning hosting Madelyn's Baby Shower on Saturday, but we thought it might not be best to bring everyone into our germ-infested house, so we "hosted" it at Shelly and Ryan's. It was a nice family shower and it turned out to be great!! My mom always does SO much for us (food, flowers, decorations, etc)-she's the best! Madelyn slept most of the shower and did her part by looking so cute!! I love that little girl!

Sunday, Grandpa and Grandma Froehle stopped over for a few hours. It was nice, as Luke and I went and grabbed a couple appetizers and some wine while they were here. We were going to run an errand that night when I locked the 3 of us out of the house!!! Bishop has great timing too, as he had a blowout (thankfully our good friends live across the street, so we could use one of their diapers and wipes)!! Rich and Eileen came back, picked us up and we drove to Lakeville to meet my mom (who had extra keys)--we had dinner at the McStop and came back home! What would we do without our parents--thanks so much!! I really owe them after this crazy week! Whew!

Yesterday was our 3rd Anniversary! Uncle Jake came and watched Bishop so we could go out to dinner--it was such a nice night--we walked to dinner! Towards the end of dinner Luke started not feeling well--we left to walk home and then he got the chills.....he went to the Dr this morning and he has strep throat!!

Needless to say, it's been a busy week and a half. All is good and we are so thankful for the help and support of our family and friends.

I will try to post pictures soon!

15 months

Bishop is 15 months old today!!

He has his 15 month appointment on Friday, so I will update more after that with specific details....for now:

He officially transitioned into the Toddler room today and he's doing great!! He sleeps on a cot, drinks from a cup, goes down the slide by himself and as one of his teacher's said "is such a nice, good boy". I am so proud! :)

Bishop LOVES to play outside--he will throw his golf ball down the sidewalk and run after it. He is talking even more these days--and he is so expressive. He is so happy and he has a great laugh and giggle! He absolutely LOVES dogs--we will go for walks looking for dogs for him to pet, he has no fear and he loves to pet and kiss any dog that will let him!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful day and were loved just a little bit more on Mother's Day!!

Luke and I are so blessed to have 2 wonderful mother's!!

Mom, thanks for absolutely everything!! I could never thank you enough or express to you how grateful I am for you and our relationship! Thanks for ALL your help with Bishop and for ALWAYS being there for me!!! You are an amazing woman and you have taught me SO much!! My hope is that I can give my children the love you gave and taught to me! Thanks for your unconditional love and friendship, you are simply amazing!!

Eileen, thank you so much for being such a wonderful mother-in-law!! I am so thankful to have met Luke and I appreciate all you did and taught him, as he is an amazing man and in large part because of you! Thanks for all your love, we appreciate you so much!!

Lastly, I couldn't be more excited and grateful to be a mother myself. Bishop makes it pretty easy to be a mother and I have learned so much from not only our mother's, but my friends who are mothers--I have learned something from all of you-THANK YOU! Being a mother is the best job in the entire world and one I enjoy every single day!!
