I get so focused on documenting WHAT we're doing I forget to document on HOW we're doing! So, here's a little update on Bishop and Nora.
Kindergarten has been so good for Bishop. He has made some great friends and continually impresses me with what he's learning in the classroom! It's fun to see him mature and learn and grow! He went to Mpls Kids for 3 days over spring break--and a couple of those days none of his friends were there. It didn't bother him at all---and he came home reporting that he had made a new friend (a 4th grader)! :) Since the school is split (K-3 and 4-8) he had never met this boy and they enjoyed playing basketball together! Instant connection for Bishop as he LOVES basketball. We'll play in the house on the small hoop in the kitchen, the basement and hopefully outside more as it gets nicer out! One of his other favorite things to do is to play catch in the house--with anything.....but mostly the balls we have! It's fun to play sports with him and be active together! I can't believe his Kindergarten year is wrapping up in less than 2 months! Time has just FLOWN by!! I am very proud of how much he's grown, matured and how good of a kid he is! He's so sweet to his sister! His favorites right now are: basketball, playing catch, art (drawing/coloring) and he also has an interest in the trumpet!
Nora is my love bug. I love her hugs and I told her this morning that "I love your hugs....and I could hug you forever" and she replied with "I will never forget you, mom"! She's doing well in Pre-K and wants to keep up with her brother. The soccer games in the backyard can be tough sometimes as she wants to keep up with Bishop and beat him! She has had her moments in the past couple of months--it seems that when she turned 4 we saw a few more tantrums, but they have lessened in the past few weeks, so hopefully those are behind us. Nora is excited to start soccer next week with a couple of her friends. She has really enjoyed playing with Bishop's friends older sisters and she has a lot of great role models to look up to! She's been practicing on a pedal bike (no training wheels) so hopefully she can pick that up for the summer! I am equally as proud of Nora and how much she's learning and growing! Her favorites right now include: Jake and the Neverland Pirates, her baby dolls, watching the neighbor boys play basketball and keeping up with whatever Bishop is doing! :)
We are all excited for some warmer weather--to play at parks and get outside a little more! I am so thankful for these 2 blessings in my life! Time seems to be flying by and I want to soak it all up as much as I can!
