My Birthday

My Birthday was Thursday, August 2nd. I had a wonderful day! My mom was watching Nora that day, so her and Nora were able to join Shelly and myself for lunch! It was a fun girls date (minus Madelyn).

Thursday night Luke and I went downtown to Target Field for a beer tasting. It was an event for Ronald McDonald House. We met Tim and Liana there and it was fun. I had never done a beer tasting before...and I learned that tasting beer fills you up fast!! There was also food pairing, so between the beer and the food I was full. Afterwards we watched the Olympics, which was fun to watch Gabby win the all around! It was a great birthday! I didn't end up taking any pictures that night--oops!

Friday night we continued the celebration downtown. My parents took the kids to Owatonna for the night, so that was nice (thanks again Nana and Papa)! We had happy hour at The Butcher and the Boar and then dinner at Rosa Mexicana. It was such a fun night with friends! There were lots of laughs! Luke and I went to Brit's for one last drink and then spent the night in a hotel downtown. I missed the kids, but it was so nice for Luke and I to have some time alone together!
