The Zoo, Summer Kick off Party, St. Louis Park Pool!

The rest of the week brought fun times together! Bishop didn't have school or Mpls Kids so we spent some time together and Luke and I tag teamed work so he could be home. On Wed I took both kids to the zoo, which was a lot of fun! I didn't take a lot of pictures--but we had a fun time together! It must have been the official "field trip" day, as we counted more than 20 buses in the parking lot before we walked in!

Nora had her "kick off to summer" party at school on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Nico's band played and the kids got to try the instruments, play and eat snacks and ice cream cones! It was a fun kick off party and then we were off to soccer!

And on Friday Luke and I took the day off and we all went to the St. Louis Park pool together! It was a HOT day (mid 90s), so it was a great day to cool off at the pool! Jack, Ashton, Andrew and Piper were also there so that was fun too!

Going down the slide with Jack!

Best buds!

Bishop went off the diving board for the first time and loved it!

He also tried this slide--but preferred the diving board!

Last day of School! First night of gymanstics and soccer!

Tuesday marked the last day of Kindergarten for Bishop! Woah-that year flew by....I'm hoping the rest of the school years don't go by so fast, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen!

It was a busy and exciting day as it was also the first night of soccer (Bishop didn't want to have to change after school, so he wore his soccer uniform) ;) and Nora's first night of gymnastics! Nora was SOOOOO excited about gymnastics and told everyone about it.

Last day of Kindergarten picture!

He's ready to be a 1st grader!

Dana made this amazing sign and we caught her as we were getting to school!

I'm proud of this boy--he grew up SO much this past year!

Buds at the last day of Mpls Kids as Kindergartners!

Nora was just as excited!

At parent pick up with Cal!

Excited to start gymnastics!!

Carolyn is in her class, which will be so fun!

Learning to do a cartwheel with Ms. Linda!
It was a fun year and a great last day! Kindergarten has been one of the best things that has happened to Bishop! It's amazing how much he grew up and how much he learned! I am excited for his academic career and am most excited that HE'S excited about school and learning!

Nora smiled for the entire 45 minutes of gymnastics! She couldn't have loved it any more! It was fun to see her enjoy something so much and to have an activity that is "hers"! After gymnastics we hustled over to watch Bishop's soccer game--it was a fun night for everyone!

End of Kindergarten Party!

Bishop had his end of the year party on Monday at the Linden Hills Park. As one of his room reps I helped with one of the stations. Our class was in charge of relay races and we had so much fun with all the classes (5)!

The kids arrived at the park around 11:45 and played at the park and then ate lunch from the school food truck! Who knew the school district had their own food truck--pretty cool! After lunch they played at the park some more and we divided out for stations. It rained a bit (and even poured at one point), but we had fun regardless! The stations were: relay races (3 legged race, bat spin race and jellybean spoon race), water ballons, crazy hair and tattoos, popsicles, and chalk/ball games! At the end there was a tug of war contest and the parent volunteers took on Mrs. Delebo's class! It was a fun day (I was exhausted by the end though)!

I can't believe tomorrow is the last day of Kindergarten! Wow-the year went fast!

125 Kindergartners playing at the park!

Buds!! Silas, Charlie, Bishop and Cal!

The 3 musketeers and Ollie! ;)
I love to see their compassion for Ollie!

We are so thankful for Bishop's teacher-she was wonderful!
The boys helping Ollie down the slide! :)

Crazy hair boys--Bishop and Cal!

Tomorrow's the day!

All the Kindergartners! Such a neat group of kids!

Bishop's getting into it!

Last day of T-ball/Soccer Kick Off/BBQ with friends

Saturday morning brought the last day of T-ball! The boys had so much fun playing together and especially enjoyed their medals and icecream after their game! Nora and Nate had fun at the park together!
Nate and Nora at the park!

My T-ball player

The sisters got a treat too!
Celebrating with medals and icecream--the best!!
I couldn't be happier with how well they support each other!

After T-ball we hustled home to grab a bite to eat to make it over for the Minneapolis United Soccer Kickoff. It was from 12:30-2:30. Bishop got to meet his coach and team and get his jersey and then they played, played, played! It even rained, but that felt good for the boys as it was hot and muggy and they were runnin'!

Team Benin!

He worked HARD and hustled! It was fun to watch!

Teammates again! Couldn't be happier!
After soccer we tried to relax a bit before heading off to Fintan's bday party/BBQ at the Joneses! It wrapped up a marathon day of fun! It's amazing how much fun these kids have together for not seeing each other that much or really knowing each other. Nora couldn't have been happier to see Fintan--she made him a special card (a large drawing pad colored in) and the kids had fun running and playing together. We ended the night with a dance party in the backyard until 10pm! EVERYONE was enjoying that!

A picnic in the playhouse!

The kids! There were 27 in attendance and 4 who couldn't make it!

The whole crew--what a great group of friends!

Bishop and Cherry

The dance party begins!
We all crashed hard that night! The kids fell asleep right away on the drive home and didn't wake up when we transferred them to their beds! Wow-we are blessed with some great friends and experiences!
