Good Friday, Easter Saturday in Cold Spring

I took Friday off to spend with the kids since Bishop's spring break started on Friday! Nora was lucky enough to get to take home Corduroy for the weekend--and we had many fun adventures with Corduroy!!

Friday morning started off play a playdate with Cal and Avery! Corduroy got to enjoy eating donuts with the kids! In the afternoon we stopped by to see Liam, Max and Declan.....and Nora was in heaven playing with Declan! After that the kids had their well child appointments at the Dr and all went well there! They are growing, healthy kiddos!

He caught all of those things one by one! :) He LOVES to play catch
On Saturday morning we got up and headed up to Cold Spring to celebrate Easter with the Froehle's and Father Alberic. The kids enjoyed finding the hidden Easter Egg and playing before dinner time. We ended up taking a little walk after lunch, even though it was chilly and wet.
Making a slide for her Peppa Pigs!

The Easter Bunny came to Grandpa and Grandma's!! All smiles with Grandma!

Father Alberic had an Easter Egg hidden in his pocket! :) I love that he joins us for holidays!

Family, family, family

The kids started a new session of swimming lessons on Monday nights. Bishop's lesson is at 5pm and Nora's starts at 5:15pm. Bishop is in the same class as his buddy, Cal, so he was pretty excited about that!

Thursday was St. Patrick's Day! The kids really got into it this year.....and Bishop even made a leprechaun trap for our house. He kept checking it to see if he had caught the leprechaun yet! :)

Saturday night the Bormann's came over for dinner, to watch bball and play! The kids had so much fun together! Iowa State played Little Rock. Bishop picked Little Rock to win the whole thing, and he got into it when Little Rock upset a 3 seed (they're a 14 seed)--so we cheered for Little Rock for the first few minutes....while Ryan and the Bormann's cheered for ISU. Our cheering didn't last long....and then the kids were off to play together!
The boys playing bball!

These 2 were so silly!

I have about 10 more pictures of them like this! They have so much fun together!
On Sunday GG Ray and GG Darlene came over to celebrate Bishop and Nora's birthdays! We missed them in Feb and it was even more fun to celebrate later on and the kids were on top of the world with all of the great presents! GG and GG are SO good to them--we are so thankful and appreciative of all they do for us! They each got lots of new clothes and some toys--and a basketball hoop that hangs on the back of a door.....soccer balls and soccer nets! Perfect presents that the kids LOVE!!!! Thanks so much GG and GG! We love you!

They even brought cake! Yummy!

Playing in bball in the basement!

Kids against mom!
Due to our work schedules Luke and I needed a little help getting the kids to school on Tuesday morning! Luke was on the road Monday night and I had an early flight out Tuesday morning......so my parents came to the rescue and took the kids in on Tuesday morning! Thanks so much, mom and dad, I don't know what we'd do without you! You're the best!!

Basketball, birthday parties and friends

The past couple of weekends have been filled with basketball, birthday parties and friends! It's been a fun couple of weekends at home!

We are so thankful that Bishop has made such great friends in school and that their older sisters are so good to Nora! Friday night Bishop had his 2nd to last night of basketball. Saturday brought Cal's birthday party--which was supposed to be a sledding party.....but since the snow had all melted they played at the park instead! Saturday night we hung out with the Retzer's and the kids had a dance party in the living room!

Sunday brought a beautiful day of Spring weather and Max and Declan's birthday party! That night we grilled out with the Kahlert's and Joneses, it was a great ending to a fun weekend! Bishop was so tired he asked to go home before 7pm!

Light sabers from Max and Declan's party
Bishop's March project for school was to make a leprechaun trap! He really got into it with Luke!

The finished project!

Nora picked out her outfit today! :) That's her absolute favorite shirt!!
Bishop and Nora got a Terrarium for their birthday and they loved putting it all together, planting the seeds, watering it and watching the grass grow!
Friday, March 11th was Bishop's last night of basketball--and it was also Charlie's birthday! We celebrated at our house afterwards with treats and playtime! It was a great season and we'll miss our Friday nights with friends!

Saturday Bishop had another birthday party for a classmate. This was for Charolette at Pump It Up! After the party I took the kids to meet my parents and Luke and I went to the Cloud Cult concert that night! Sunday was yet ANOTHER birthday party--and Nora got to join in on this one.....it was Charlie's party at Skyzone! So a fun fun weekend for everyone!

Curacao

While I loved my weekend at home--Monday brought more travel! I had a sales meeting in Curacao, which is an island off the coast of Venezuela, the week of Feb 29-March 3rd. It was a long day of travel (I left my house at 3am and arrived at the resort at 7pm), but it was beautiful and definitely a nice place for a meeting!

We had meetings Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. The company was good to us and allowed us some free time to relax and enjoy the resort/sun/warmth!

Thursday was another long day of travel--and I got home around 1am, but it felt great to sleep in my own bed and be home!

Meanwhile...back home! ;)

The kids were spoiled with going out to dinner while I was gone--they loved it!
