Counting down to Kindergarten!

Kindergarten starts on Wednesday, August 26th for Bishop. He had a couple days with mom before his big first day. On Monday morning we went back to his classroom for an assessment so his teacher has an idea of where he's starting from and what he knows (they came out of the classroom with big smiles and she said he's READY!) ;)

After that we met Liam, Max and Declan at the park for a couple hours (and William was there too).....then Bishop helped me run a few errands and he fell asleep on our way home! My intention was not to tire him out TOO much before he starts school! ;)

On Tuesday we had a great day together! We went to the Zoo, played at the park with Liam AGAIN (and William was there again too)! The boys had so much fun playing together....and there were other boys they met up with and played tag and hide and go seek with, it was so much fun!

Lucy's at his school now!

The kids have LOVED playing basketball with Casey lately! They team up on him and Nora does a great job of distracting him so Bishop can score! ;) Casey is such a good sport about it--he is so good to our kids and we are so thankful to have him as a role model for them!

With my boy at the Zoo!

There's a really cool new park at the zoo-it was awesome!

At the park again!
On Tuesday night we met Colin out for pizza. The boys were pretty much out of control the entire time.......we're thinking next time maybe we'll meet at a park instead.

Basketball buds!
Bishop is pretty excited for his first day of Kindergarten! I had so much fun with him the past 2 days and I'm excited for his new adventure! I think we're all a little anxious for what tomorrow will bring!

SCFF

Friday marked the last day at Kindercare for Ms. Anita along with some more friends of Bishops' that will be going to different elementary schools. It's a little sad to see these kids go their separate ways as I'm not sure if our paths will cross again and they spent a lot of time together over the past few years!
Nora's REALLY going to miss Ms. Anita! She was always there for her with a hug and some love when she needed it most! Thanks for everything, Ms. Anita!

On Saturday morning I took the kids down to Owatonna for the Steele County Free Fair! It was a hot, and windy day! The kids were especially excited to be with Madelyn and Jack! Luke got some work done and met us down later. While we didn't make it over to the midway for any rides, we walked around, had some lunch, got our faces painted, rode ponies (Bishop chose to skip the pony ride and got a Minion instead), visited some barns, played on the tractors and ate more treats! It was a fun time!
The first thing Bishop said was "PAPA, let's go dig for worms"!

Waiting to get their faces painted!

Riding her pony with Nana!

Sweet Madelyn and her mom!

Jack said "Giddy Up" every time he passed us--he was hilarious!

My independent little girl! :)

Papa with the big kids!

The best auntie ever!

Beautiful girls!

Jack's absolute favorite--TRACTORS!

I love my Madelyn!! She is SUCH a honey!

Big cousins!
Luke and I spent the night at my parents that night.....Luke went to a movie while I went out for a drink with Crystal and the kids hung out at Nana and Papa's! Luke started a 24 day weight loss challenge so he's not able to eat as much or drink coffee or alcohol or 24 days. He enjoyed his movie! :)

Last night of soccer, PJ Trolley

Thursday night was the last official night of T-ball. Bishop's team was scheduled for a make-up game next week....but we treated this like the last night since it was awards night! It was even more fun since Bishop's team played Colin's!

A lot of the photos are courtesy of Colin's mom, Dana. She is quite the photographer and is so generous in sharing her photos!
Bishop had a field trip to Skateville and LOVED it!! He spent most of his time in the arcade and he can't wait to go back!

Coach Luke

It's a hit!

Heading home!

Fielding

So excited to field the ball!

Getting a little bored.......

Buds!

Singing in the outfield! ;)

The Angels! Nora was an honorary member and even got a medal!

After t-ball we headed over to Lake Harriet for PJ on the trolley night! You have to put your name in to get tickets and we were drawn for the last night (they do one every month in the summer). The kids got milk and cookies--we took a ride on the trolley and then a local author read a couple books (and drew a picture)! It was a fun end to our night!
Waiting for the trolley!

So excited!

Relaxing as the train rolls on down the tracks.......

Kindergarten Ice Cream Social

It's a busy week for our house! On Wednesday Bishop had his Kindergarten ice cream social where we got to meet his teacher....Mrs. Delebo! I picked him up early from Sports Sampler again and we had a little extra time together to get a few things done before the open house/ice cream social.

Eating lunch with Bishop at the Y before leaving

Doing a little shopping at Target

Doing a little drawing (with permanent markers)! :)
We enjoyed meeting his teacher and seeing his classroom. He seems VERY excited and was a little wound up at the school. Nora seemed to have a little tough time too....but after Luke took her out to the car to get a snack she seemed to settle down a little.

There were stations in his classroom for me to fill out forms, etc and one was a little homework for Bishop "All About Me!" His teacher is so nice and it was so nice to meet her. After sorting out his school supplies and making our way around to all the stations we headed outside for some icecream and then he played at the school playground for a little bit (until it rained). We're one week away from his first day of school!! :)
Working on his homework with dad!
