Thanksgiving at the Bishop's

We took off from the Froehle's at lunchtime on Friday and drove down to Owatonna.  The Bormann's were already there and everyone was very excited to see each other! The kids had a ton of energy, so we got all bundled up and headed to the park!

Swinging with Madelyn

Nora swinging with her baby! She was loving it, but she looks cold!

Papa pushing Madelyn who was all bundled up

The girls!
The kids each had their Christmas PJs to put on--so they all got a bath together (except Jack) and they had fun with their matching PJs!
They each got a clemetine and they rolled them back and forth on the table......they laughed and screamed and laughed and giggled-they thought it was the best game ever!

I woke up on Saturday  morning and walked upstairs to this sweet face! He was playing with the shoes in the entry way and he couldn't have been happier! I love this sweet, happy boy!
We all went to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa! It was so fun to see them! They had both recently been in the hospital (not together), so it was nice to see them so happy!
Great Grandpa, Jack and Shelly-I LOVE this picture!
My dad picked up my Grandpa to visit my Grandma and when she saw him it was the cutest thing--she leaned in to give him a kiss and he laughed! He said "you always told me....kissing and icecream don't mix"! :)

Nora with her Great Grandparents-so sweet!

The kids had a great time running around and playing together--and the best part was the treat they got to eat on the couch together! :)

I love this picture!

These two loved holding hands!! They would just stand next to each other and grab each other's hands!

Happy Jack with Papa!
Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and we were able to enjoy dinner with Aunt Sandy, Uncle Bob, Tim, Great Grandpa Ray and Great Grandma Darlene. We missed Jeff and Danielle this year!

Aunt Sandy gave each of the kids a new book and they loved them!

Nora saying thank you for the book!

Bishop loves being read to!

We stayed over again on Saturday night and had a nice relaxing morning on Sunday morning.

Reading together on Sunday morning

We have a lot to be thankful for this year!

Santa, Cookies and Sledding!

On Saturday morning Bishop had swimming lessons-he moved up to the next class this session and he's been doing great! He loves it and he's really improved, so it's fun to watch him. Nora gets to swim too and she loves the water too!

After swimming lessons we went to Toys for Trees, an event our Realtor puts on as an open house. We bring a Toy and we get a Tree, not a bad deal! Santa and Mrs. Claus were there along with lots of treats (we had a REALLY hard time getting Bishop away from the treats table). It was a fun morning!

Bishop told Santa he wants a bat for Christmas.....Santa was a bit confused so to make sure he understood him correctly he asked, what kind of bat? Bishop replied "the aminal" :) That was new to us!

Bishop wouldn't sit on Santa's lap, but would sit on Mrs. Claus' lap! :)

Eyeing the treat table!

CHEESE!!!

We put the tree up that afternoon and we had plans to visit our friends' new baby, but I'm still battling this 5 week long cold and Luke wasn't feeling 100% and Nora had a cough, so we figured we probably shouldn't pass our germs off to an infant!

Sunday afternoon I made cookies with the kids! I picked a relatively easy recipe for the kids to help me with! We made "bacon and eggs". It's 2 pretzel sticks with almond bark poured over them and then an m&m in the middle. I poured the almond bark and the kids did the rest! It was fun (especially eating along the way)! :)

She ate more than she made, but at least she was eating some pretzels!

The weather has been SO cold, but it finally broke zero on Sunday so we got out the sleds and went sledding for a bit. The kids went down a couple of times and then got cold--so we took off for home (we walked to the hill by Lake Harriet).

Dad pulled them on the sled to the sledding hill

Of course we had to warm up with Hot Chocolate when we got home.....we were all cold!! Winter is here and it's a VERY fun time of year--we are all excited for Christmas and to celebrate with family and friends!

Thanksgiving at the Froehle's

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Froehle's and it was a great day! The kids had fun running around outside looking for tree frogs (they came up empty handed this trip), but they were successful in finding some ladybugs in the house and they were excited to keep them and take care of them!

Nora couldn't get enough of Uncle Jake!

We spent the night Thursday night and went for a hike in the meadow across the street from Rich and Eileen's on Friday morning. There is a nice path cleared and although it was cold (it was really cold) the kids didn't complain and they enjoyed being able to run around!
Hiking together!

Quick stop for a kiss!

Playing the piano at Grandpa and Grandma's!
I just realized I didn't get a picture with Grandpa and Grandma! Everyone was having too much fun for a picture, I guess! We had a delicious meal and it was great to see John, Diana and Father Alberic, who were able to join us!

Where did November go?

Wow-November just flew by.......here's what we were up to in November!

It was the last year for wood delivery for Rich and Bishop enjoyed helping out (and earning some quarters each Saturday)! :)

Rich, Art (the Dart), Luke and Bishop
We hung out with Siena and Maia (and Tim and Liana)
Nora ADORES Siena!

We raked some leaves!
In the month of November, Bishop and Nora really started enjoying playing together. It is fun to watch them and also to let them have some freedom to play by themselves. Nora will definitely let you know how she feels so she won't let Bishop push her around. For the most part they play really well together!

I had my National Sales Meeting in Phoenix, AZ.

H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N!

Halloween was so fun this year! The kids were able to dress up for multiple events/parties and they loved every minute of it!

On Tuesday night we met the Heller's at Lund's for trick or treating in the store. It was really neat--they handed out carrots, chocolate milk, chips, candy, pencils and the kids each got to decorate their own cupcake!

On Halloween Day Nora's class had a party at her snack time! It worked out perfectly that was I was able to go (I was supposed to be in Eau Claire, but I ended up not having to go so I could go to Nora's party).  They ate lots of treats (cookies, cupcakes, apples, pumpkin bread) and then had a dance party with their scarves. They even got to play with music sticks, which was a lot of fun for them too!

She LOVES to play with the scarves

Bishop's class was also having a party...but I didn't get over to his class fast enough-he had already changed out of his costume, but was still really excited for the fun day! Here is he is with his best bud, HK!

Playing with the music sticks
Bishop picked out the most difficult pattern for Luke to carve on our other pumpkin (a witch)--Luke spent a long time on that witch, but it turned out pretty neat! Unfortunately you can't really see its face in the picture.
Halloween Night was a blast! Both kids were super excited and they ran around the neighborhood for almost 2 hours trick or treating! We met up with Danny and his parents and the boys got the hang of trick or treating really fast--Nora needed to be carried for most of the night, but she did walk up to a few houses on her own! She would say "pease" and then after getting her candy she'd say "pease"...I'd tell her to say thank you and she'd say "tank oo".

Danny the pirate and Bishop the batman!

I know I've said it before but I absolutely love our neighborhood! There were so many families out and about and the block behind us blocked off their street and had a bonfire in the road! It was fun for both kids and parents!  Luke and I even dressed up! Luke was the Dark Knight and I was a witch.  The kids will be going through their candy for a LONG time!

Happy Birthday Shelly!!!

Happy Birthday to the best sister in the whole wide world! You are simply amazing, Shelly!! Every life you touch is positively influenced by your kind and loving heart! You are so selfless and you care so much about others! I am SOOO blessed to call you my sister and best friend! I love you to pieces!

We celebrated together at Shelly and Ryan's house yesterday--here are a few pictures from our day!
