Madelyn's Baptism

Madelyn Michelle Bormann was baptized on Sunday August 28th at Lord of Life Church in Maple Grove. Luke and I are honored to be her Godparents! She is one very special girl and I love her more than words can say!

We were nervous about how Bishop would do during the service since sitting still and being quiet aren't two things he excels at at this age. Thankfully the baptism was early in the service and he made it long enough for Madelyn to be baptized and then he wanted to play with Daddy in the back of the church.

Madelyn also did amazingly well! She didn't make a peep while the water was being poured over her head and she looked as cute as ever!!

Congratulations Madelyn!! We are so proud of you!

Book Club, Liam and the SCFF

I hosted book club with my HS friends on Wednesday August 17th. EVERYONE could come and it was such a treat seeing everyone!! Brooke and Brandi weren't here yet for this picture, but they came along with Olivea and Marah. I love that we are all still in touch and get together on a somewhat regular basis. Book club is much more about getting together, eating and drinking wine than it is talking about the book--but we do assign books and it's a great opportunity to read something different.
Thursday night (Aug 18th) Liam and Bishop's dada's were both busy, so Michelle and I and the boys went for a walk....had dinner together.......
Played with some tupperware

And took a bath!! It was such a fun evening with the two of them!
Bishop went to Owatonna Friday, August 19th, as Luke and I had Twins tickets! Thanks, mom and dad, for taking him! I know you all had a great time! Saturday we went down and went to the fair. Bishop absolutely LOVED the animals! He loved feeding them, petting them and he even tried to kiss the cow on its nose!!

Bishop climbed up on Nana's lap while Madelyn was sleeping (while the Shelly and the guys were golfing).

Last week the Froehle's had a mini reunion, which was a ton of fun! Aunt Pat was in town from Boise, Aunt Muggs was in town from Washington State and Uncle Bob and Gretchen were in town from Nome, AL. It's always a riot when we all get together---there are tons of laughs and giggles!
We were thankful to spend some time with the Aunts (Kathleen, Pat and Muggs and Rosemary-not in the picture) and Uncle Larry on Tuesday night at the Harriet Bandshell for the Neil Diamond Show. The Froehle's love their popcorn and icecream!!
Bishop is a true Froehle! :)
Aunt Pat and Aunt Muggs fed Bishop some popcorn pieces (only the soft part--not the kernels)!

On Thursday evening we all got together at Larry and Kathleen's in Mpls
Bishop and Grandma Froehle eating icecream (once again)!
Playing with Lauren...they had a blast together!
The evening was centered around Uncle Bob's retirement and introduction to becoming a Deacon. It was a very special evening with all the siblings present.

It's tough to get a picture of the Froehle siblings! :)
We did get a picture of everyone who was there, but it was on Larry's camera--I hope to get a copy of it and I'll post it, if I do.

It was a great week with the Froehle's! On Wednesday some of the women got together for lunch at WA Frost. It was a beautiful day and fun to catch up with the ladies!

2 Birthdays and an Anniversary

Bishop and I went over to Shelly and Ryan's on Monday, August 1st and they treated me to all my favorites--homemade pizza, which Ryan is a PRO at! He makes the BEST homemade pizza and it's my absolute favorite--thanks Ryan!!! Then they surprised me with a DQ cake, which I used to get all the time for my birthday and haven't had in years, so it was very nice early birthday present (along with the generous gift they did give me!)

We celebrated with my family on Sunday with my parents and grandparents! It was Grandpa Arnie's 88th birthday on August 6th and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on August 11th, so we had a lot of celebrating to do!!

Bishop loves playing with Great Grandma! He thinks she is funny!

Bishop loves to kiss Madelyn and she doesn't mind too much either! They are so great together, it's so fun to watch Madelyn watch Bishop play! He loves to kiss her and always wants to be RIGHT next to her...even if it makes us parents a little uncomfortable for her safety! :)
It was such a fun weekend of family time with both our families! We are so fortunate to live so close to both families and to be able to see them both so often!

Sullivan Family Reunion

The annual Sullivan Family Reunion took place Saturday, August 6th at Mike and Kristine's house in Lakeville. I was especially impressed with how nice of a day it was since Kristine was out of town and Mike hosted all of us on his own! We usually go to a park in Eden Prairie, but it was much more fun to be together at someone's house...everyone was more comfortable and it wasn't as crammed. It's always fun to get together with the Sullivan side--all 4 sisters were there and many of their family members. It was a beautiful day and they had plenty to do...they had a sandbox, swimming pool and trampoline in their back yard!!

Bishop loves playing with Uncle Jake
Swimming with Dada and Mike's son Matthew

Playing in the toy bin!

Summer Fun

Johnny, Bishop and Danny playing at the park together!!

Luke, Bishop, Johnny and Paul
These three are going to be trouble!!
We went in with our friends, The Kahlert's, and bought a jumpy house...the boys LOVE it!
Bishop also got his first car and he's enjoyed riding around in it this summer!
